If you’ve been curious to learn about mindfulness but have no idea where to begin, our Mindfulness 101 course is for you! This four-week series is intended to demystify mindfulness and provide you with the knowledge and confidence to incorporate mindfulness practices in your daily life. You’ll explore the basics of mindfulness and learn practical tools for reducing stress, increasing joy, improving sleep, and enhancing your overall wellbeing. Each session will include conversation, teaching, breakdown of the techniques, guided practice, and reflection. Copper Beech offers a warm, welcoming, and down-to-earth environment to begin your mindfulness journey. All levels of practitioners are welcome and encouraged to attend—including those who are brand new to mindfulness, or seasoned practitioners looking to brush up on the basics. By the end of the four-week course you will: 

• Have a personal understanding of mindfulness and mindfulness practice  

• Understand various mindfulness practices (mindfulness of breath, mindful eating, mindful walking, body scan, and loving-kindness) and how to utilize these tools in your day-to-day life 

• Develop a foundation for further exploration into mindfulness and the confidence to explore Copper Beech’s many mindfulness retreats and programs 

• Experience the benefits of mindfulness in a hands-on way. A few reported benefits include:
