The Ancient Art of T’ai Chi for Today - July 2019
With Tom Cushing
July 30 - September 3, 2019
T’ai chi and qigong are gaining great recognition in the area of Western medicine and in the areas of fitness and mental health. More than just a trend, t’ai chi integrates the body, mind, and spirit through movement and stationary practices.
In addition to the basics of t’ai Chi and qigong, Tom offers a simple and tangible path to understanding more about the art and a useable and relatable practice for you to take home with you. Through gentle movement, sitting and standing meditations, and a choreographed set of movements, we will move, rest, and learn to connect to our most natural instincts with the underlying practice of mindfulness. The practice of t’ai chi, which many people spend a lifetime developing, will become your own. Within it, you will find peace, vibrant health, and a real sense of accomplishment.
Class dates: Tuesday’s July 30, August 6, 13, 20, 27, and September 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
