Deepening Your Meditation Practice
With Kathy Simpson
May 29 - June 19, 2024
Ideal for Intermediate-Advanced
You may have just completed MBSR, or perhaps you’ve been meditating for months or even years. You appreciate how powerful mindfulness and meditation can be, but how do you take your practice to the next level? In this course, we will explore ways to reach new depths in meditation based on Buddhist teachings on mindfulness.
Topics will include:
- Mindfulness of the body and breath
- Understanding the nature of mind
- The power of curiosity
- Working with hindrances and emotion
- Heart and compassion practices
- Concentration
Each session will include lecture, guided meditation, and plenty of time for sharing, questions, and answers. Home practice throughout the four weeks is strongly encouraged! You’ll have a meditation partner to connect with between sessions and, by the time the course is through, an integrated set of tools to turn to again and again to enrich and deepen your practice.
