Connecting to the Root of Wellness: A Day of Mindfulness and Self-Care
With Krishna Dholakia and Mickie Brown
July 20, 2019
“The deeper the root, the sweeter the fruit.” This quote will inspire our experience during this day retreat designed to help participants explore their emotional-and-physical wellness, as well as their self-care practices. Participants will be guided through mindfulness practices that help them understand their habits related to stress, and how stress is often transformed into opportunity. Participants will learn practices to form a daily mindfulness and self-care routine and be encouraged to look deeply at the root of their well-being.
Join us for:
- Guided mindfulness practices such as Awareness of Breath and Body Scan to create a calm receptiveness to the present moment
- Self-care practices such as mindful nutrition and exploring our relationship with food and health
- Yoga, mindful movement, and dance therapy
- Guided imagery
- Exploring silence as a tool for deeper insight
