Paul Epstein

A pioneer and leading voice in Contemplative Medicine, Paul Epstein, ND has been leading the charge to bring awareness to the mind-body connection—and its extraordinary role in healing—for over 30 years. In his private practice, Dr. Epstein integrates naturopathic principles with mindfulness meditation and other life-changing mind-body therapies.

In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Epstein travels worldwide teaching, lecturing and presenting workshops on mindful healing. He co-founded and directed the Israel Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Ramat HaSharon, Israel and currently serves on the faculty for the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM).

Dr. Epstein has been studying, practicing and teaching mindfulness meditation for more than three decades. His main Vipassana meditation teachers were Jack Kornfield, Ph.D. and Joseph Goldstein, founders of the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Mass. He is a graduate of Community Dharma Leader training program through the Spirit Rock Meditation Center and is a certified yoga and meditation teacher through Sivananda Yoga Centers International. He has taught programs in mindfulness and healing at New York Insight Meditation and was the founder and lead teacher of the Insight Meditation Community of Fairfield County. He is the author of Happiness Through Meditation . Paul mentors health professionals to integrate mindfulness and mind-body therapies in their life and clinical work. Dr Epstein is on the faculty of (AIHM) the Association for Integrative Health And Medicine and teaches for (IIN) the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Dr Epstein is co-founder of the Israel Center for Mind-Body Medicine. He specializes in trauma informed healing, integrating how biography becomes biology,  and connecting the cell and the self.
