Lucy MacGregor

Lucy MacGregor is an adventurer through the joys and intensity of human life. She believes that we approach our full potential when we are present for life with open eyes, inclusive hearts, and the support and challenge of authentic community.

Lucy is the co-founder of Design to Connect, LLC, offering workshops, communities of practice, and retreats to educators, parents and families nationally. During programs, participants connect with personal knowing and well being, deepen relationships in their family, community, or organization, identify collective intentions and goals, and formulate means to engage in meaningful action that aligns with their goals, a healthy community, and personal well-being.

Lucy combines her experience as a classroom teacher, her background in adventure based learning, and extensive training in mindfulness and group facilitation.

Lucy holds degrees in Sociology and Education and is an accredited Montessori teacher. As a mindfulness educator, she is an online course guide for both Mindful Schools and Millennium Forum, supporting the well-being in schools for both students and educators. She serves as Mindfulness Consultant for Rainbow Institute, promoting holistic education, and is a classroom teacher at Rainbow Community School. She integrates trauma informed and restorative practice into her work, and is a practitioner of social-emotional and brain based learning.

Her methods attend to the individual, interpersonal relationships, and the system, as personal growth, relational well-being, and organization development are inseparable from each other.

Lucy continues to be challenged, inspired, uplifted, and opened by her own journey through life with her two teenage children, and is incredibly grateful to the entire community of beings traveling with her.
