Emily Williams

Emily Williams, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Connecticut. She has over 17 years of extensive experience working with youth and families in various settings including in-home therapy, emergency mobile psychiatric services, child protective services and foster care. Emily is currently employed as an elementary school social worker where she incorporates mindfulness practices with the students she works with. Emily has been trained through the Mindful Schools Program and implements the curriculum in the school setting. She has completed two years of mindfulness training under Dr. Shefali (best-selling author and leader in conscious parenting). Emily is also certified in Cognitive Behavior Intervention for Trauma in Schools (CBITS). Emily’s particular areas of interest include mindfulness with youth, trauma treatment and self-compassion work.

Emily believes in the benefits of mindfulness and meditation both personally and professionally. She has seen how impactful incorporating mindfulness can be through her professional work. The catalyst for growth begins within- when an individual is able to become attuned to their authentic self.

Emily earned a Bachelor’s of Social Worker from Central Connecticut State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University.
