Dr. Deidre Galbo

Dr. Deidre Galbo is a small animal veterinarian in West Hartford, Connecticut. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, and also has a B.S. in  biology from Stonehill College. Dr. Galbo spent eight years as a senior clinician at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital-Western New England (formerly Rowley Hospital) in Springfield, MA. She was the recipient of the G. Edward Cummings Compassionate Care Award.

Dr. Galbo immersed herself in mindfulness through the Mindful-Based Stress Reduction course at Copper Beech Institute in 2015. She has continued her practice with the Deepening Your Practice program and has been volunteering at Copper Beech ever since. She feels strongly that mindfulness is imperative when dealing with the many emotions and stresses of veterinary medicine as well as in ordinary life.
