Susan Nappi

Susan Nappi has a longstanding career in community-based research and programming, and holds a degree in public health and epidemiology from Yale University. She is currently the Senior Community Impact Director at United Way of Greater New Haven, where she focuses on community transformation through partnerships and innovative interventions focused on closing the opportunity gap. She holds certifications in Circle of Security® Parenting™and Circle of Security® Core Sensitivities, and has studied non-violent communication with Marshall Rosenberg. She has been deeply influenced by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, to whom she was introduced by her mentor, Patricia Plouffe St. Onge, founder of the Center for Growth and co-founder of the Transfiguration Zendo. Susan is a practitioner of Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido (ki aikido), a martial art focused on the unification of mind and body.
