Centering Prayer and the Heart of Mysticism
With Therese Saulnier
December 7 - 9, 2018
The pursuit of spirituality can evolve our consciousness, expanding our understanding of reality and opening us to see things differently — beyond our usual perception of reality cloaked by perceptions and beliefs. Knowledge of mysticism is a doorway to this evolution of our consciousness. Karl Rahner, a 20th century theologian, wrote: “In the days ahead, you will either be a mystic (one who has experienced God for real) or nothing at all.”
In this retreat, we’ll explore the nature of mysticism, mystical writers such as St. John of the Cross, and the impact of mysticism in deepening our relationship with God and transforming our everyday lives. This retreat is intended for people with a regular practice of Centering Prayer or a regular meditative practice.
