The Power of Vulnerability: The Heart-Opening Healing Harp
With Marcie Swift
May 19, 2019
“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, accountability, and creativity.” – Brene Brown, Ph.D.
Cradled with the sacred sounds of the therapeutic harp, psychologist and therapeutic musician Marcie Swift’s inspiring presentation will gently guide us toward our most authentic selves. Through a series of unique mindfulness and guided meditations, we will create true presence and celebrate freedom from shame, self-criticism, and perfectionism.
The therapeutic harp has been heavily researched as a conduit to decreased stress, isolation, depression, and worry. For many, it creates an environment that fosters attentive and focused presence and a deeper sense of the spiritual.
With a series of nurturing, enlivening activities including writing, moving, listening, and sharing, we will settle into true presence to ourselves. Our intention is to deepen our presence to ourselves, our ability to connect with others, and to expand our ever-present capacity for love.
“When searching for greater clarity in our purpose, or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.” – Brene Brown, Ph.D.
