With Angela Mazur and Theresa Nygren
September 30, 2018
Come step away from the busyness of your life and join us for a half-day retreat as we discover the transformative nature of mindfulness combined with self-compassion. Research shows that 70 percent of the population is kinder to their friends than they are to themselves. Let us teach you how to befriend yourself using mindful self-compassion. Self-compassion can help you reduce anxiety, depression, rumination, and shame while bolstering positive states of optimism, life satisfaction and happiness.
Based on the work of Chris Gerner, PhD. and Kristin Neff, PhD, this experiential workshop will include: A foundational overview of mindful self-compassion and how to be less critical of yourself Ample opportunity to participate in formal and informal mindful self-compassion practices. Reflection, both written and verbal, within small groups and in larger circle.
