Mindful Relationships: Connecting to Ourselves to Connect with Others

Each interaction with our family members, friends, and colleagues matters; they weave the very fabric of our lives. In these moments, we can create the culture of our homes, nurture healthy children, cultivate fulfilling partnerships, and build successful teams. And yet, in all we navigate, we tend to find ourselves on automatic pilot, getting hijacked by our reactions, and we regret that we are not who we want to be. How can we learn to bring our best self to these interactions and apply mindfulness in our day-to-day relationships?
In this workshop, we will explore ways to practice mindful pausing in our daily interactions — to step back, connect to our center, and gain perspective on our thoughts and feelings. With this renewed connection to ourselves, we can consider how mindfulness can support us to understand and connect most effectively with others and respond intentionally. Through a series of practical, experiential exercises, we will explore how mindfulness can be applied to cultivate more calm, connected, and effective relationships so we thrive together!
