Life can present us with incredible challenges and hardships; life is also filled with breathtaking beauty and joy. Built upon the core contemplative values of Copper Beech Institute, Living Presence provides an experiential course of study and practice to cultivate equanimity, healing and resilience.

No matter the circumstance, presence is the most powerful resource we have that can be harnessed in the service of connection, compassion, and deep joy. This course will offer opportunities to discover the natural calm and stability living within all of us. Through mindfulness and contemplative practices that can help us live more fully within the present moment, we will explore how to ease suffering and cultivate lasting contentment while working within the ordinary routines, stressors, and triggers of daily life.

With simple practice, it is possible to live more resiliently and radiantly and with greater ease, acceptance, gratitude, and compassion for ourselves and others. Whether we encounter minor disappointments, moderate hardships or significant trauma, growth is always possible. This gentle immersion in mindfulness will awaken in us a deepening awareness in mind, body, heart and spirit.

Class Dates: Monday’s: January 21, 28, February 4, 11, 18, 25
